Digital Media Distribution Platform Using Amazon Web Services

Digital Media Distribution platforms are necessary for delivering multimedia content. Classic client-server approaches and 3-tier architectures are not optimized for media processing. In this paper, we present a serverless modern digital media platform for media content distribution based on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform. The proposed platform uses CloudFront for static content cashing, S3 for data storage, Lambda for the dynamic content and Elastic Transcoder for media format conversion. This platform offers reduced loading times and efficient media format conversion/distribution.
