The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) in solar measurement systems allows the monitoring of small offgrid photovoltaic (PV) systems via web, enhancing the performance and the maintenance of the system. The proposed smart logger is capable of acquiring the values for electrical and meteorological parameters, offering information related to the energy production or daily energy consumption. The use of open source tools allows to monitor the off-grid system remotely in real-time at low cost. The ultimate goal of this work is to present the measurements of electrical and meteorological parameters monitored by the smart logger using open source tools.
