With the blooming of new technologies, people are frequently confronted with complex command devices. A command device possesses some means for inputting and outputting information, and a set of operators for processing information. A videotape recorder, a pocket calculator, a computerized text-editor, or a programming language (and HyperCard can be viewed as a programming language), are examples of command devices.
