Novel Swine-Origin Influenza A(H1N1) Virus

A novel swine-origin influenza A(H1N1) virus(S-OIV) was identified from respiratory tract specimens of patients with influenza-like symptoms on March 2009 in the USA and Mexico.The virus was contagious,spreading easily from one person to another and has been reported in 172 countries and regions.The available information about the characteristics and genomic structures of S-OIV was collected and reviewed.
