Electroluminescent fission chamber for neutron registration in counting mode with fiber optic signal acquisition

The article describes an electroluminescent fission chamber based on optical detection of fission pulses. The use of the optical path can significantly reduce gamma background and increase the resistance to electrical and mechanical interference. Registration is based on the use of electroluminescence in strong electric fields with a significant 103−4 times increase in light, which makes it possible to record individual fission events in a counting mode.
