Discusses the method to optimize weighting function by Genetic Algorithm(GA)in the design of H_∞ power system stabilizer,researches the objective to optimize weighting function,selectes the structure form and value range of weighting function,derives the performance index and fitness function,proves the validity and practicability of this method by example.
