Massive MIMO 5G small cell antenna with high isolation

This paper proposed a small cell 8-ports antenna design that works in the C-band (3400–3600 MHz) for possible future fifth-generation (5G) applications. The main structure of each radiating antenna is a monopole type, and thus the resonant mode can be easily tuned. To allow good isolation between two closely located ports, the techniques of applying polarization diversity and protruded stubs (T-shaped bars) were used. Detail design of this proposed antenna will be discussed.
