Vacuum Diffusion Welding of Intermetallic Alloy ɣ-TiAl with High-Temperature Alloy EI437B Through Nanolayered Interlayers

Effect of nanolayered foils on formation of dissimilar joints of $\gamma$-TiAl based alloy with high-temperature alloy EI437B was studied. It is shown that application of an interlayer allows producing in the welded joint zone an extended region with a smooth variation of chemical composition in the joint zone.
