Optimization of Transmission Conditions for Thin Interphase Layer Based on Imperialist Competitive Algorithm

The imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA) that was recently introduced has shown its good performance in optimization problems. In this paper a novel optimization algorithm based on ICA is used for obtaining transmission conditions of thin heat- conducting interphase layer with a constant source or sink formulation. Finally, the results of ICA are compared with finite element method (FEM). Compression shows the success of ICA for design of adhesive joints in the materials.
