Adaptation of the EHEA standards in degree programs

In Spain, the model of education proposed by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) represents a change in teaching methodology and planning that affects all involved in a degree course. The question is where this change really leads. To find answers, the UPC's (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya) Escola Politecnica Superior d'Edificacio Barcelona (EPSEB) organised surveys for teachers, students and administration staff after a year of implementation of the EHEA. The students had completed at least an academic year in both pre- and post-EHEA courses. We also examined changes in academic results in both models. This article presents the results of both analyses and provides conclusions that may differ from general expectations.
