Case studies of the digital technology impacts on supply chain disruption risk management

Supply chains (SC) have always been vulnerable to natural disasters, economic and political crises or accidents. Modern, interconnected SC networks are particularly vulnerable, since even a relatively small incident can have enormous consequences for the entire network. The greater vulnerability of value chains and the fact that uncertainties, such as earthquakes or political instabilities, cannot be prevented have necessitated active supply chain risk management (SCRM) in supply chain management (SCM) (cf. Chopra/Sodhi 2014, Juttner 2005, Ivanov and Dolgui 2018).
