An integrated cognitive architecture for autonomous agents

Abstract : This report describes ICARUS, a cognitive architecture designed to control the behavior of an integrated intelligent agent. The framework assumes that all long-term knowledge is organized in a probabilistic concept hierarchy, that heuristic classification is the central performance mechanism, and that a process of concept formation underlies all learning. The three components of ICARUS are described and related to other cognitive architectures. (Author) (KR)
