Reversible thickening of the bowel and urinary bladder wall in systemic lupus erythematosus: a case report.

We report the CT findings in a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who developed reversible lupus vasculitis of the intestinal tract and urinary bladder. Abdominal CT demonstrated ascites and marked wall thickening of the jejunum, ileum, and colon, showing a target-like appearance. The bladder wall was also thickened and abnormally enhanced. Follow-up CT after treatment with steroid showed no ascites and normal bowel and bladder walls.
