A New Approach towards E-Learning Content Standardization and Enhanced Usability

This paper presents a new learning content management system integrating in an ongoing project for building an innovative e-learning platform. The aim of this work is to implement a system that follows the new trends in content standardization while achieving high levels of usability. Even though compliance is guaranteed with the SCORM, the most wide spread standard available today, the system is not particularly bound to it, as it provides dynamic support for multiple metadata models, resulting in maximum content portability and an increased system longevity.
