Reducing Boarding Time: Synthesis of Improved Genetic Algorithms

This paper determines algorithms in optimization search, and does simulation to validate efficient, effective and stable boarding strategies. By selecting a new generation combined with some best-ranked sets and others random, we design Improved Genetic Algorithms to generate optimum boarding strategy identified by MINLP-via-IGAs. This paper compares the strategy with traditional Back-to-front and Outside-in Strategies in three different aircraft configurations. This paper presents the number of expected boarding interferences and procedures for passenger in boarding patterns. The results demonstrate that MINLP-via-IGAs Strategy is superior, and Outside-in usually performs better than Back-to-front Strategy.
