New-type Piezoelectric Precise Rotary Actuator

A new research scheme which applies PZT stack into precision rotary actuator is proposed.Mathematics model on using PZT stack as actuation element is established.The mechanical structure is analyzed by finite element analysis software,and then the statics deformation and the frequency response characteristic about the direction of the structure is obtained.The rotary moving resolution and the frequency characteristic of the prototype actuator are tested.The results of the FEM simulation are in agreement with the testing results in the resonance frequency distribution essentially,and the FEM simulation is useful to the Structure optimization design.The relevant factors which influence the test results are analyzed.The designed actuator has the advantage of high working stability in low frequency and high rotary resolution(0.136 6 microradion).
