A novel probabilistic method for power distribution estimation in indoor wireless channel

According to the propagation properties in indoor wireless channels, a probabilistic method for an estimation of power distribution is presented by treating the real rays as stochastic rays from the accurate environment-based geometrical description. The method for the estimation of the power of multipath components for narrow band and UWB communication systems are described in details. The power distribution in two different indoor environments is simulated for narrow band system and UWB system, respectively. The results of simulation are corresponding well with the ones of theoretical expectation, which demonstrates that the probabilistic method is effective.
