Book Review: We Built Our Own Computers

It may often happen in a research establishment or laboratory, that an electronic circuit is required to perform a simple function. Unless there is an electronic engineer to cope with the problem, those concerned are likely to waste much time in searching the literature and developing a circuit. Similarly, a technician responsible for administering to the electronic needs of a non-electronic team will rarely be familiar with a sufficiently wide range of circuitry. When called upon to produce a modulator, or waveform generator, at short notice, he is likely to be faced with some difficulty. In such cases there is a need for a recipe book of electronic circuits, and this book is intended to provide a range of useful circuits.
