Simulation on gas-particle flows in horizontal pipe before dust explosion

This paper were to employ gas and particle two phase flow mathematical model, applying in professional fluid dynamics software FLUENT, It is a PISC coupling calculation method for making gas and particle flow research before dust explosion. Experiment had shown which lead to relatively strong dust explosion in a weak shock wave flow and horizontal pipeline under dynamic condition. The calculation results show that, It is weak shock strength of 1.18, airflow velocity range of 28.2–35.3m/s, turbulent energy of the range of 6.69–14.8 m/s, airflow temperature rise, above 300 of the cases, strong dust explosion is taking place, As particle motion rule shows that it is 1µm smaller than fine particles at bottom in the pipeline, It is 20µm greater than particles at upper in the explosion level pipe chamber. It is an aim to investigate dust explosion gas and particle rules and conditions in a horizontal pipeline.
