CTIVE SEGMENTATION OF ANATOMICAL § WITHIN DIGITAL VOLUMES

In this communication, we give the first results of a geometrical modelling approach we have developed for representing anatomical structures. First, we describe briefly the main fcaturcs of this approach which combines volumetric analysis and surface modelling. Its first step is an interactive segmentation of digital volumes: we introduce an original method to accurately perfom this segmentation. Then, we present some results, in terms of implementation parameters and 3D medical imaging applications.
