Miniature antenna effect on the ear-to-ear radio channel characteristics

This paper presents an investigation on miniature antenna effect on the ear-to-ear channel. An active ultra-compact antenna design suited for hearing aid electronic device is presented. The effect of antenna location inside the ear on both antenna properties and ear-to-ear radio channel is investigated, by considering a simplified spherical model of the human head and a Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin (SAM) phantom.
