Dual cluster head routing protocol in WSN

Energy, Network lifetime and Stability are an exigent parameters for proficient management of sensor network and this paper introduces DCHRP (Dual Cluster Head Routing Protocol) having dual cluster head with three level of heterogeneity to improve the life span of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Main objective is to reduce the number of selection of cluster head so that wastage of energy can be minimized. Simulation performed in Matlab and observed that the stability period of DCHRP increases by 9.99% and 47.18% as compared to ETSSEP and TSEP respectively and more than twice as compared to SEP. The complete lifespan of DCHRP is also increases by 3.28% and 42.31% as compared to ETSSEP and TSEP respectively and about thrice in comparison of SEP.
