ID-based key agreement for multimedia encryption

In Tan et al., (2001), the authors proposed a fast encryption algorithm for multimedia data, called FEA-M. The premise of using FEA-M is that both the sender and the recipient share a common secret key matrix in advance. However, how to achieve the common secret key matrix has not been considered. In this paper, we come up with an ID-based key agreement scheme for FEA-M which is built on a public-key infrastructure. This key agreement scheme is able to stand up to both passive and active attacks.
