The objective of the research was to gain a better understanding of the effects of physical limitations on driving behavior and decision making ability. Specifically, the research addressed the behavior of drivers at T-intersections to determine the relationships between physical limitations as measured by range of movement of the head and neck, and visual field, and driving performance as measured by decision time. Other relationships were examined concerning sight distance, traffic volume, number of head turns, medication and glasses. This paper fully explains these relationships.
