Classification of tea using LED-induced fluorescence

LED-induced fluorescence was used to evaluate the classification of teas. In this paper, the fluorescence spectra of six different types of Chinese Chaoqing teas were excited by power LED (375nm), then the fluorescence spectra were recorded by a compact spectrometer. Principal component analysis was used to discriminate the teas. The result shows the potential application of this method in the classification of teas.
