An Air-Liquid-Air Heat Exchanger for Greenhouse Humidity Control

ABSTRACT ENERGY balances are formed to describe two air-liquid heat exchangers joined together as an air-liquid-air heat exchanger for greenhouse dehumidification. The balances form a model, and data are presented to test the model. The model is used for simulations to show the effectiveness expected from the system. Temperatures within the exchanger were usually predicted to within one degree. Effectiveness values between 0.4 and 0.5 were readily obtained with the air-liquid-air heat exchanger.
