Study on Risk Assessment of Power System Static Security in Severe Weather

The historical statistics show that the fault probability of power system components in severe weather is significantly increased. In recent years, severe weather has become one of the main risk sources of the safe operation of power system because of its frequent occurrence. Based on risk theory, we fully consider the possibility of power system fault in severe weather, and use branch overload, bus voltage violation and loss of load as severity indexes of power system static security in severe weather, and build a risk assessment model of power system static security that it can provide an effective tool to identify the weaknesses of the power system static security in severe weather. Finally we illustrate the application of the model combined with numerical example.
