Experimental Demonstration of a 53 Tb/s Coherent SDM-TDM Add/Drop/Through Optical Network with Time-division Spatial Super-channels and High-speed Joint Switching System

We experimentally demonstrate a 7-core 2×2 switching node for time-division spatial superchannels with a record data-rate of 53 Tb/s on SDM networks, full packet-granularity by nanosecond-fast electro-absorption gate array switching and network protection capabilities with 7-core microsecond-fast acousto-optical modulator switches.
