Quantised control design for networked control systems

Problems of the quantised stabilisation and quantised H∞ control design for networked control systems (NCSs) are considered here. First, an NCS system model is proposed which considers the effects of both network-induced delay and quantisation levels. Then, sufficient conditions for the stabilisation and H∞ control design are derived using the Lyapunov functional approach and shown in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). By solving LMIs, the feedback gain matrix, the H∞ performance level and the quantisation parameters can be obtained. Finally, an illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
