Disclosed is an independent brake shaft type drive. Among the drive, a motor engine is arranged on one side of the axel of the wheel which are actuated by the hollow hexad-link rods and an independent brake shaft is arranged on the other side. At least one brake disk is arranged on the independent brake shaft and is relatively provided with brake pliers. The above motor engine shaft, the axle and the independent brake shaft are all arranged mutually in parallel and are separately connected with a gear box. The utility model providing the independent brake shaft type drive is simple structure, high reliability. The size of the structure is minimized; the weight of the inferior spring of the veer rack and the impulse force of the wheel track is reduced. Therefore the driver has superior dynamics performance, better accessibility, convenient maintenance and repair under the vehicle, and is applied to the locomotive at the speed of 120km/h class and above.
