Neural networks controlling for both the DC boost and AC output voltage of Z-source inverter

This paper uses algorithms for controlling both the dc boost and ac output voltage of Z-source inverter using neural networks. The capacitor voltage of the Z-source network is controlled linearly in order to improve the transient response for dc boost control of the Z-source inverter. The peak value of the ac output voltage is used to control exactly the ac output voltage to its desired level. A modified space vector pulse-width-modulation scheme is also applied to control the shoot-through duty ratio for boosting dc voltage. The neural networks control technique is verified with simulation results and compared with the traditional PI controller responses.
