A Cluster-based TDMA interference mitigation scheme for heterogeneous network convergence

In recent years, there has been growing interest in heterogeneous network convergence. The interference mitigation via medium access control (MAC) is among the most important and urgent problems for multi-cluster wireless sensor network (WSN). In this paper, we propose a cluster-based TDMA interference mitigation scheme to mitigate inter-cluster interference which is based on a non-overlapping TDMA time slot allocation protocol according to nodes deployment, the number of nodes and traffic load within a cluster in each round with the assistance of base station (BS). Simulation results show better system performance in terms of packet loss ratio, energy consumption and system throughput.
