Link Performance Monitoring Technique for Measuring Residual Chromatic Dispersion of Optical Links

We propose a simple technique for measuring the residual chromatic dispersion (CD) of optical links based on two single-sideband tones. The residual CD was measured with an accuracy of +/- 10 ps/nm, regardless of the effect of self-phase modulation.
