Compact Microstrip Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Using Step Impedance Resonators

This paper proposes a compact dual-band narrow bandpass filter based on impedance step resonator for C-band applications. The basic resonator of the proposed filter is designed using step impedance resonators, with some modifications lead to the better frequency response parameters. The ADS Simulation results indicate the center frequencies of passbands are 4.7 GHz and 7.1 GHz with corresponding bandwidths of 14 MHz and 30 MHz, respectively, as well as the isolation between two passbands is about −50 dB.
