Lubrication is one of the core design factor in transmission development. Abrasion and friction heat are inevitable in transmission which produced by relative motion between parts to produce driving force. This is most important factor which affect to transmission durability and functional performance. Thus, adequate amount of lubricant supply to transmission is core design factor which can prevent viscosity drop by limitation of friction heat. Transmission fluid is responsible for cooling and lubrication of transmission, and assist normal system operation by helping smooth interaction between parts. To verify oil flow inside of transmission which has a significant role in transmission system, actual testing is required but it takes many trial and error stage and man-hour & time consumption. Thus, CFD is used to analyze fluid dynamic and oil flow to specific location first and then final actual test performed to minimize this kind of loss when determining fluid specification. This paper is believed to be optimization of Oil gutter for Oil lubrication of Transmission from experiment and CFD analysis.
