The TMN agent in PCN based on the entity-aspect model

The telecommunication management network (TMN) system has been researched for the management of several networks with more efficiency and generality. As the TMN system is implemented depending on different hardware and operating system, there are some problems in development, maintenance & administration of classes in the agent. One of the main problems is that all the agents of the TMN system and the software and data blocks that perform the identical functions must be duplicated and maintained. Therefore, the Q3 interface standard development cannot be defined and the multi-platform cannot be supported in the development of the TMN agent. In order to overcome these problems, the farming methodology that is based on the entity-aspect (EA) model has been suggested. With the methodology, the redundant software and data components in the distributed objects (DO) are moved to the platform independent class repository in the form of componentware. After setting up the framework of the DO, some small componentwares are loaded dynamically to the DO, while others are loaded statistically.
