An LTCC X‐band receiver front‐end using embedded multilayer substrate integrated waveguide filter

A low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) X-band receiver front-end is designed using a novel embedded multilayer substrate integrated waveguide filter. The filter is a quasi-elliptic type, fabricated into multilayers on LTCC process, making it compact as well as of low cost and high selectivity. Simulated and experimental results of the filter and X-band receiver front-end are presented. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
