How to select an agglomeration method : Part II

Enlarging particle size by agglomeration can be achieved by several methods. The method best suited to an application depends on several factors. In this two-part article, an agglomeration expert discusses which factors to consider when selecting a method as well as how to size the agglomeration equipment for the application. Part I (which appeared in the February 1999 issue) covers selection factors related to the feed and agglomerate. Part II concludes the article by discussing selection factors related to the equipment and the plant location, how to use an agglomeration method selection table, and how to select and size the equipment.
