Beryllium 7 in the atmosphere

Measurements of Be/sup 7/ in ground-level air and rain at Heidelberg are reported. They show a close correlation to Sr/sup 90/ data including a similar seasonal variation. This indicates a contribution from the stratosphere in these latitudes. The annual deposition during 1960 -- 1961 was 8.3 x 10/sup 5/ Be/sup 7/ atoms/cm/sup 2/. (auth)
