This p aper introduces the research of a multidisciplinary design optimization architecture for spacecraft design. The goal of the research is to implement distributed concurrent optimization of the spacecraft by combining multidisciplinary design optimization an d distributed network computing technology. The network topological structure of the architecture mentioned in the paper is based on the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) , and connects the components by client/server system and network agen ts, so that all the parts of the architecture can coordinated work in different places. In order to make the concurrent analysis/design feasible, a concurrent optimization method is used as the mathematical base of the architecture, and is improved accordi ng to the characteristic s of spacecraft design.
