Analysis of eddy current losses and shielding effectiveness in the valve hall blocking materical of HVDC converter station

Magnetic field and eddy current losses of the valve hall blocking material were analyzed.The eddy current analytical equation based on Maxwell was established and the solution was given.Furthermore,the main influencing factors,such as current frequency,the thickness of the material that may affect the shielding effectiveness and eddy current losses of the valve hall blocking material were also investigated.Variation of skin depth and temperature rise with blocking material depth were analyzed under different geometrical size,electromagnetic parameters and harmonic current.The results provided a theoretical foundation for practical applications of projects.
