Stereoscopic Image Synthesis Algorithm for 3D Phone Based AVI

A stereoscopic image synthesis algorithm is proposed based on AVI(Average Information Value).An intermediate view image is obtained by linear weighting of the pixel value of same coordinate position of left and right view images.Then the synthetic image is synthesized by the intermediate view image and the left and right view images instead of the left and right view images.It is shown by Simulation and experimental results that the viewing zone of 3D mobile phone can be expanded by the AVI stereo algorithm and the crosstalk in the non-optimal viewing zone can be reduced.
