RESEARCH ARTICLE SEASONAL VARIATIONS IN THE CORTISOL TITRE OF GARRA GOTYLA GOTYLA

Article History: Received 14, May, 2014 Received in revised form 25, May, 2014 Accepted 13, June, 2014 Published online 28, June, 2014 Presently an attempt has been made to generate data on the variation in cortisol titre of fish Garra gotyla gotyla during the different seasons of the year. Considerable variation has been observed in the level of cortisol during different seasons with maxima in summer season and minima coinciding with the winter season. Factors that influence such variations have been discussed in detail.
