Expression of RACK1 in carcinogenic process of colorectal adenocarcinoma and its significance

Objective:To investigate the CK1 expression in the normal colorectal mucosa, colorectal precancerous lesion and colorectal adenocarcinoma, and to explore the role of RACK1 in the colorectal carcinogenesis. Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was performed to detect the RACK1 expression in tissues collected from 92 colorectal adenocrcinoma,20 colorectal adenoma,20 colorectal in ammatory polyp and 23 normal colorectal mucosa.Statistical analysis was used to analyze relation between RACK1 expression and clinicopathologic features in the colorectal adenocarcinoma.Results:CK1 expression was progressively increased along with the progress of colorectal carcinogenesis(P0.05).CK1 expression level was not associated with the patients’ age and gender, lymph node metastasis, and Duke stage(P0.05),but was correlated with the di erentiated degree of colorectal adenocarcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion:RACK1 expression is progressively increased during the colorectal carcinogenesis, which may play a role in colorectal adenocarcinoma.
