All-optical OOK-to-16QAM format conversion by using SOA-MZI wavelength converters

We propose a novel all-optical NRZ-OOK/RZ-16QAM modulation format converter using parallelized SOA-MZIs and show the feasibility of the proposed scheme by numerical simulation at 10 GSymbol/s.
