Real-time hybrid dynamic test is an economical and efficient method, which could replace the shaking table test. OpenSees has been widely and mainly used by researchers studying the real-time hybrid test. The purpose of this paper is to optimize the interaction between physical substructure and numerical modeling in the hybrid testing system. The configuration used in the previous control system was simplified and the fixed iteration method and parallelization were used for the control algorithm. These algorithms can improve the inefficiency of iterative methods caused by sequential process so that the computational time can be reduced. FEAPH was developed with using the algorithms under the control system. In order to verify the accuracy of the program performance, the dynamic test was conducted with steel framed structure. As the results, the processing time in hybrid test with FEAPH was improved up to 10% rather than with OpenSees. Moreover the testing performance is almost the same trend within a 5% error level.
