This essay deals with a new self-adjusted speed rate control system LLAP(link layer adaptive pacing) in view of the congestion problem in wireless Mesh network. The link layer queue scheduling mechanism at the gateway is responsible for packet scheduling and MAC circular. LLAP controls the transmission rate of wired-to-wireless flows at the Mesh gateway to avoid serious interference among hops brought by excessive data transmission, and the control mechanism is realized at link layer without modifying the existing transport and routing protocols. We analyzed the performance of the Mesh network by NS2,and compared LLAP with 802.11 networks. Simulation results show that the network performance controlled by LLAP is superior to 802.11 networks greatly.
