INTRODUCTION TO SFbT CONTRIbUTIONS TO PRACTICE-ORIENTED RESEARCH. PART I: MICROANALYSIS OF COMMUNICATION

The four articles in this special section introduce the microanalysis of face-toface dialogue as a research method that can broaden the current evidence base to encompass the details of communication between therapist and client. Because microanalysis is the reliable, moment-by-moment observation of actual communication sequences, it is also directly related to practice, training, and supervision.
