Dual wavelength optical fibre sensor for ph measurement

Abstract A rapid response, inexpensive, fibre optic pH sensor which uses a two-wavelength time division multiplexed system to measure the change in absorption of an indicator dye and provide a reference channel for other losses in the light path has been constructed and described, for use in solution, with solid state LED sources and detectors being employed.
