Firstly,by comparison on the orbital models of space borne imagery positioning based on orbital parameters and satellite state vectors,a method for the fitting of orbit and the interpolation of state vectors based on imprecise ephemeris data was proposed, and the orbit correction model which is suitable for long-strip satellite image orientation in flight coordinate system was built in this paper.Secondly, the Earth rotation influence on the rigorous orientation model of satellite linear array imagery was analyzed.Through adaptive process of the yaw angle, the concise imaging equation and block adjustment model of spaceborne linear array images were then built based on satellite state vectors in Earth Centered Rotating coordinate system. Finally, for different numbers and distributions of GCPs,series of positioning experiments were carried out using 4 pairs(8 scenes) SPOT 5/HRS long-strip stereo images of Eastern Talimu Basin.Experimental results show that the statistical precision can achieve 8.09 meter under the circumstance of sparse GCPs.
